Sunday, October 28th – Sr. High Youth goes to JUMP (Hip Hop) Worship in Minneapolis! Event if FREE! – Meet at Rosemount UMC’s Parking Lot at 6pm sharp! We will carpool there together and return home by 9pm! Hope you can join us! Even if you think Hip Hop and Rap is not your thing…this is a must go event!

 

Wednesday, October 31st – NO CLUB 78! Our next Club 78 (7th & 8th grade students) will be on Wednesday, Nov. 7th!

 

Coming Soon! – TIM LEMMENS and Band in Concert with Special Guest: Josh Corbett (Josh is Rosemount UMC’s Youth Director) at Rosemount UMC on Friday, Nov. 9th  beginning at 7pm in the Family Life Center. Free will offering/donations will be accepted the night of the concert. (Suggested price per person - $10) No tickets necessary for the concert! Invite your neighbors!

 

Sign up to serve at Operation Christmas Child’s Procession Center A great way to serve! We will be heading to serve at Operation Christmas Child’s processing center in Eden Prairie on Wednesday, Nov. 21st and Tuesday, Nov. 27th  from 6-9pm. We will need to gather at 5:15pm at Rosemount UMC’s Parking Lot on both nights before we leave. There are sign up available upstairs in the ATTIC(Youth Room) if you are interested. You must be 13 years of age or older to serve at the processing center. Any questions please contact Josh Corbett at 651-423-2475 ext. 214 or email jcorbett@rosemountumc.org

SPECIAL SERVICE FOR “ALL HALLOWED’S EVE” (Halloween) will be held in the Chapel at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 31st.  Members and friends who have died during the past year will be remembered.  Also a time of reflection on “saints” and spiritual guides in your own life.  Led by Pastor Rick Ormsby.

CHRISTMAS CANTATA CHOIR REHEARSALS BEGIN NOV. 7TH. Calling all singers, high-school aged and up who would like to be a part of this long-standing Rosemount UMC holiday tradition.  Rehearsal begin Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 7:15p.  Other important dates are;  12/11 from 7-9p, 12/15 from 3-5p and 12/16 at 9a, 10:30a and 7p.  Be are part of The Season and experience the joy of music making!  For more information call Tami at 651-423-2475, extension 206.

BAZAAR CRAFT TABLES AVAILABLE…In addition to our traditional bazaar baked goods, crafts, and quilts;  we are pleased to offer tables to crafters/business persons at our  upcoming church bazaar, Saturday, November 17th. Persons interested in purchasing table space should call Bonnie  Student(952-432-8024) or Laurie Fosburgh (953-432-4849) for information.

 

HOLIDAY BAZAAR CRAFTS…We are ‘crafting’ items for the Bazaar.  If you have ideas, or can help create Bazaar items, come Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. beginning October 11.  Any questions, call Joyce Richardson, 651-894-0455.

 

ATTENTION SANTA'S HELPERS!...Donations are needed for the Children's Christmas Store at the Bazaar.   Ideas include new or like new items, regift items, Dollar Store items, Bags, Bows, Tissue, Etc.  A box is waiting for your donations in the Coat Room.  Thank You!  Cindy Dietz

 

ADULT MINISTRIES

 

Registrations are being received for a work team going to Jamaica, January 15-29, 2008.  Building classrooms for a pre-school or assist with the children.  Cost is $1400.  For more details, contact Pastor Rick Ormsby (rormsby@rosemountumc.org or (507) 333-2770).

OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE

 

THE CLOTHING MINISTRY AT NORTH UMC The Clothing Ministry at North UMC needs volunteers to help sort clothing and help the customers find what they are looking for.  The next date the clothing ministry is open is Saturday, November 2 from 9am - noon.  If you are interested in helping, please call Becky Havlicek at 952.322.4208.  We can carpool from the church at 8:15.


 "THE ROSEMOUNT FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER'S FOODSHELF is a bare cupboard!  We are asking for donations the last two Sundays in October to be brought to the church which will then be delivered to the center.  A handout with specific items will be shared.  Any food item unopened and non-perishable is appreciated.  Thank you in advance for your generosity!  The Missions Team"     If you have any questions, please let me know.  Folks at RUMC have always come through for the Center, and I hope this reminder put in front of them enough will inspire some to share.  Thanks, Judy Good  Dale and Judy Good Ph. 651-423-2273.

PUMPKIN PARTY - OCTOBER 26TH, 6:30 - 8:00 P.M.

 Kids, it's time to put on your greatest costume (parents welcome, too!)  and join in the “pumpkin-y” fun in the Family Life Center and Discovery Avenue for games, crafts, treats, and plain old fellowship. The evening will culminate with trick-or-treating down Discovery Avenue. Families are HIGHLY encouraged to sign up for this event. We are requesting a $5.00 per family donation. The sign up sheet is located on the Children’s Welcome table.  We request bags of candy to be donated prior to this event which can be left at the Children’s Welcome table.
