Angel Tree

Founded in 1976 by Chuck Colson, Prison Fellowship partners with local churches across the country to minister to a group that society often scorns and neglects: prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families. The focus of our ministry includes fellowshipping with Jesus (including teaching others to live and look at life from a biblical perspective), visiting prisoners, and welcoming the children of prisoners.

Across America, thousands of children of prisoners are waiting for someone to take an interest in them. The need is tremendous. The chance to reach young people for the Kingdom of God, even greater.

There is a wide variety of opportunities for Angel Tree volunteers - from delivering gifts, to driving a child to the doctor, to teaching Bible studies, to being a counselor at an Angel Tree camp.

However much time you're able to give, a child near you will thank you for it. Many churches have also "adopted" Angel Tree ministries in their communities, giving food baskets, holding clothing drives or special offerings, or even just adding the Angel Tree ministry to their regular prayer chain.
