Chili Fest

The competition was fierce last year, but we expect that 2008 might bring out even more top contenders for the RUMC Chili Cook-off.  Roll up your sleeves and start cooking.  The chef sign-up sheet is posted in the Narthex.  Tickets for the Chili Cook-off are on sale prior to the event and at the door.  $5 per person/$15 family cap. The winning Chef’s name will be placed on a traveling trophy. Peoples Choice & Most Creative will also be recognized.  The event is March 2nd after second service in conjunction with the Silent Auction. 

Silent Auction Challenge!

Everyone has something they could donate to this great cause; babysitting Hours, Baked Items, Sports Tickets, Cabin Weekends, Crafts, Housecleaning, Manicures, Computer Help, etc.  We are also challenging each family/small group/individual to enter a themed basket for the silent auction.  The more baskets we receive the more RUMC can help out our local & global community. Donation slips are available in the Narthex.  Questions? This event is all about full support from the congregation.  We really need people to cook chili and to donate baskets/services.  You may not think you have prize-winning chili, but just by participating, you are providing an atmosphere for fun & fellowship.
