Ruth Wiertzema, a missionary supported by RUMC, serves as Council Director in the Red Bird Missionary Conference. This ministry with rural Appalachian people is located in southeastern Kentucky and is the most comprehensive mission project of the United Methodist Church in the U.S. For more information about Ruth and her ministry, click here.

Operation Classroom provides funds and supplies for classrooms in Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Chile, Haiti, and Liberia. Shipments that are collected at RUMC are sent out twice a year to children in need
