Our Core Values
- We believe that the world is our parish and that all people matter to God. We believe that loving relationships should permeate every aspect of life. Luke 5:30-32; Luke 15; Matthew 18:14, 1 Corinthians 13; Nehemiah 3; Luke 10:1; John 13:34-35
- We rely on prayer and Scripture for direction and implementation of the ministries and activities of this church. At the same time, we strive to be culturally relevant in our ministry. The Book of Discipline of the United Methodist Church will be our guide for policy making, decision making and governance. Colossians 1:9-12, 1 Corinthians 9:19-23
- We believe that God intends faith to be a life-long adventure of growth, where we are continually called to service and to be good stewards of God’s creation. We are committed to meeting people where they are at, supply needs, acting justly, and sharing our resources and talents generously. Galatians 5:22, 1 Kings 11:4; Philippians 2:1-11: 2 Corinthians 8:7, Luke 16:2; Proverbs 22; Micah 6:8
- We are committed to small group ministry where life transformation, conversion, and leadership development takes place. Luke 6:12-13; Acts 2: 44-47
- We believe that a church should operate as a unified community of servants with men and women empowered to use their spiritual gifts. 1 Corinthians 12 and 14; Romans 12; Ephesians 4; Psalm 133:1
