The process called Confirmation spans two years and is designed to equip and empower students to confidently commit themselves to a life of discipleship in Jesus Christ. This is accomplished through an organized array of experiential and discussion opportunities that present the person and divinity of Jesus Christ in such a way that one might make the decision to accept or reject God’s offer of acceptance, companionship, forgiveness, holiness, guidance & eternal life within a body of believers. Confirmation is paired together with our Mentor Ministry. More than ever before, teenagers need trusted, positive relationships with caring adults, even outside the family. The Mentor Ministry at Rosemount UMC is a critical part of the student’s faith formation during confirmation. Along with our Mentor Ministry we gather together with students and mentors for NOOMA Nights. This is a time to gather together to think, worship, and connect with one another.
